A photograph can represent so many things. It tells the story of a place, a person, or a specific moment in time. Without a photograph these sights, feelings, and emotions can be lost forever. I enjoy preserving the beauty of this world and everything in it. My photographs represent the things that I have done and seen. In a way, photography can tell the story of a life more accurately than words. Emotions, good or bad are important and should never be lost. It is the small moments in life that count and should be remembered. I feel like I do this best through my photography.
I have always enjoyed photographing nature. There is something amazing about capturing a small piece of nature and holding onto it forever. Sharing my landscape photos with other people is rewarding, as it is a reminder of how amazing our world really is. Recently, I have become more passionate about nighttime photography. As my skills have developed, I am able to venture to different areas that are new and exciting. A completely different dynamic is portrayed through a night time shot, but the night can create just as much beauty as the day. It is amazing how the same place can look much different at different times of day. In this ever changing world I like to hold onto the things that are here naturally.
I grew up surrounded by the inspiring images of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Growing up in such beauty has made me love the outdoors. Snowboarding, camping, and hiking, are just some of the many things I enjoy doing outside. I played ice hockey for eight years as a goalie and have played tennis now for seven years. Traveling is another one of my passions and a dream of mine is to see everything this world has to offer. I now live in sunny, beach filled, southern California but who knows where I’ll be drawn to next. I am an Eagle Scout and have a PEZ collection with over 650 dispensers, but all that aside, what I love more than anything else is photography.
